Senior-level thinking.
Design, search and build decisions belong together. We look at the whole website at once, rather than treating your brief as a training exercise.
Senior-level output should be within reach of a local business. Arello was created to make that possible, with a leaner model and a clearer way of working.
A great website takes judgement. It shouldn’t need layers of overhead.
Arello was created to offer senior-level design, search and development at a fairer price than the traditional large-agency model. We keep the delivery structure lean and the scope focused, so the investment goes into a website that works for the business.
Fewer handoffs. Less ambiguity. A clear line from what you need to what gets built. Your project deserves experienced judgement, rather than becoming a training ground hidden behind a senior sales pitch.
We use modern tools, including AI where it helps, to reduce repetitive production work. The decisions, checks and responsibility still belong to us.
Built in Melbourne, for service businesses across Australia.
For local business websites, we believe static is the way forward: prepare the pages once, serve them quickly, and add interaction where it earns its place.
Clear content, design and search foundations.
Ready-made pages sent straight to the browser.
Forms, bookings and tools when you need them.
“Static” describes how the pages are delivered, not how they look or what they can do. Rich animation, interactive tools and connected services can all sit on a lightweight foundation.
For the websites we build, that means less dependence on a public WordPress admin, database and plugin stack. It can reduce maintenance complexity and helps us keep performance in focus. Hosting, forms, dependencies and connected services still need care.
Static is our starting point, not a rule for every project. Frequent publishing, memberships and complex applications may need a CMS or a different architecture. We work that out before you commit.
The model matters only if it makes the experience better for you.
Design, search and build decisions belong together. We look at the whole website at once, rather than treating your brief as a training exercise.
A focused scope and modern tools keep the work moving. Our model cuts back on management layers and handoffs, so more of your investment goes into the finished work.
Know what is included, what costs extra and what happens next. A written scope and agreed price come before work begins.
Your files, content and accounts belong to you. We agree how editing, care and handover will work, so the relationship stays a choice.
Our approach uses prebuilt HTML and adds browser code where interaction needs it. Read Astro’s explanation of this architecture. Technology supports the work; speed still depends on the finished build, assets and integrations.
Three ways to get a website. What each one costs, and what you get for it.

| Compared on | Budget freelancerCheap, with gaps | Full-service agencyQuality, at a steep cost | ArelloSenior work, a clear price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Typical cost | Around $500 to $2,000 once-off. Cheap up front; fixes and changes cost extra, or never happen. | Around $6,000 to $15,000 or more for the build, often with a retainer of $1,500 to $3,000 or more a month. | $3,900 with a care plan from $79/month, or $4,900 build-only. Every extra has a listed price. |
| Who does the work | One person of unknown skill, often working from a template or a page builder. | Seniors sell it. Juniors often build it while they learn, and account managers rotate. | Senior-level design, build and search work from scope to launch. No handoff to juniors. |
| Quality and search | Can look fine on day one. SEO, speed, accessibility and tracking are often below par, or skipped. | Usually good. You also pay for strategy, meetings and disciplines a local business may not need. | Hand-built, fast, search-ready pages with structured data and AI-readable business facts included. |
| Accountability | Rarely a written scope or a guarantee. Often hard to reach once the job is paid. | Contracts and process, but slow to change, and you pay for every layer. | A written scope and fixed price before work starts. Live in 14 days from a complete brief, or the build fee back. Terms apply. |
| Timeline | Depends on one person’s availability. | Often six to twelve weeks. | 14 days from a complete brief and assets, with 2 revision rounds. |
| After launch | Support if they are still around. You may not control the hosting or the files. | An ongoing retainer. Leaving can mean starting again. | You own the files and accounts. Care is optional: hands-off from $79/month, or $249/month with a person doing the changes for you. No meetings to sit through. |
| Best for | A simple site on a tight budget that you are happy to manage yourself. | Larger brands that need strategy, campaigns and a full team. | Service businesses that want a quality website, a clear price and a site built properly for search. Not for large stores or complex apps. |
